Phil Simms Son Arrested In NYC On Marijuana Charge

The son of ex- New York Giants Star Phil Simms was arrested in Manhattan early Thursday morning for driving while high on marijuana.

Chris Simms, 29, was pulled over by police shortly before 2 a.m. on West Houston Street, according to police.

The current Tennessee Titans backup quarterback was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.

According to reports, the athlete was so stoned he couldn’t keep his mouth shut and confessed to authorities that he was smoking marijuana in his 2009 Mercedes Benz earlier in the night.

Simmons is slated to go before a judge at Manhattan Criminal Court later onThursday.

His father — Phil Simms — currently works for CBS Sports and is best known for leading the Giants to victory in the 1987 Super Bowl.
