My Thoughts on July 19th WWE Monday Night Raw

As the WWE Prepares for SummerSlam, If You Push John Cena, and the man is bound to push back. One night after losing a WWE Championship Steel Cage Match thanks to The Nexus, Cena came to Raw to return the favor – and he brought along reinforcements.

Here are My Thoughts about the Raw Broadcast:

Randy Orton def. Edge and Chris Jericho in a Triple Threat Match to earn WWE Title Match at SummerSlam

My Take: After an incredible display of athleticism, Orton glimpsed his opportunity. He struck Mr. Vocabulary with an RKO and turned around and quickly nailed The Rated-R Superstar with the same medicine, pinning Edge for the victory and earning himself a WWE Title Match at SummerSlam. This was an excellent match. In no way as popular as that RKO from mid air Randy Orton did Last Week, that was crazy.

The Nexus attacked Edge and Chris Jericho

They bickered back and forth, each asserting that The Nexus would ally with them against the other. To settle the dispute, The Nexus emerged, but instead of discussing partnerships, they attacked Edge. After a gleeful Jericho savored the thrashing, the seven deadly sinners then turned on him, too, leaving him incapacitated on the mat. Both of them were right. The Nexus wanted to silence Jericho for taking credit for something he didnt do and that The Nexus controls the show.

Eve def. Maryse

Eve deserved this match. And at the very least DiBiase defended claims that Maryse was a golddigger.

WWE Champion Sheamus def. Evan Bourne; R-Truth stymied an attack by The Miz

Rather than cashing in the suitcase after hitting Sheamus, Miz instead begged off when R-Truth charged the ring. Truth, who was sidelined from Raw’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match thanks to Miz, scuffled with The “Cleveland Screamer,” who quickly snagged his briefcase and made himself scarce. In retaliation for Miz’s attack weeks ago, Truth essentially cost his rival what might have been a WWE Title triumph. That was poetic Justice

Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov def. William Regal & Zack Ryder

When a Russian teams up with an Italian to rake on an Englishman on WWE, you know something’s not right.

Wade Barrett addresses Cena, Cena reveals his superteam

He told Cena that, in order to further his career at WWE, he must join The Nexus. Cena refused, though, and informed Nexus that they should enjoy the next three weeks because at SummerSlam, The Nexus isn’t going to make history, “The Nexus is history!”

Cena’s disposition changed when he announced the formation of his own group, including Edge, John Morrison, R-Truth, The Great Khali, Chris Jericho and WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart, who hadn’t been seen since The Nexus had attacked him.

I give this RAW a 10 out of 10! They had less talking and more actions and to have Bret Hart return after being as Raw GM made the show end on a strong note
