Pearson Fellowship for Social Innovation:Scholarship from Taking It Global.
Dear TIG Members,
On International Youth Day (August 12th) at the World Youth Congress in Turkey, TakingITGlobal announced the launch of the Pearson Fellowship for Social Innovation, an international fellowship program that supports the most promising social service projects created by TakingITGlobal’s network of youth leaders. As activists leading action projects, you are eligible for online training and financial support!
This October, all Sprout alumni will be eligible to apply to be considered to win one of two $5,000 International Fellowships or one of 10 Regional Fellowships of $1,000. Pearson fellows will receive one-on-one mentoring from experienced social innovators who will consult with them as they implement their project plans.
What is Sprout? Sprout is a platform for young people who want to grow their social venture and learn to create lasting change that takes root in their communities. The Sprout platform represents a new approach to training, mentoring and supporting young people as they work for change in their communities.
Haven’t completed the Sprout E-course yet? You can register today and take the course for just $50 – the next session starts September 7th – and then you’ll be eligible to apply for the fellowships in October! On Twitter? Tweet and share the news with your friends!
We also encourage you to enter our International Year of Youth Art Contest titled ‘Our Year. Our Dream. Our Mark.’ Entries are due by September 1st – we hope you’ll enter!
